I don't know. I'm probably going to switch the tank to a mudskipper setup; I haven't tested the water in a few days, I've been too busy with everything else and it burns me out. I have been wanting a mudskipper for about a year, so I'll just drain the tank to a mudskipper habitat and by the time I know what I'm doing I'll make it a puffer habitat again. I honestly think the mudskipper would be more appealing and relaxing to have in my room than the puffer fish and I would have a much smaller chance of the tank falling. I've been reaserching them for almost a year so it wouldn't be too hard also.
What does aquaria central think?

I say put it on a sturdy dresser or nightstand.
I hate 'tank stands' they look like they're about to collapse with their flimsy-ness.

How do you trust a nightstand or dresser over something built specifically to withstand the weight and pressure of an aquarium?

Just seems illogical to me...

I would chose THIS

Over flimsy looking metal tank stand any day.

But I do like the actual cabinet stands, those I trust.

(excuse the mess, just got back from camp :] )

i promote every one who wants a mudskipper just ask your self are you ready for one i sure wasnt so i had a break down with the mudskipper water quality he wasnt eating he wasnt alot of things he should be.but now he is a great fish. so be sure you can handle it. have you had any other fish because a mudskipper isnt a beginner fish. if you have tryed other brackish fish i say go for it

I agree. If you are too busy to care for the puffer, I wouldn't keep the skipper either. He will have less water volume & need much more water changes, to keep it clean or he will wind up with skin infections from the ammonia in his water from his waste. Also, are you prepared to buy live food for him every week?

I forgot, how large is his tank? Do you even have skippers available FS around you? I almost never see them available here & I live in Chicago.
