So I'm going to get a puffer fish...

Here's some swell news.
Strictly fish (my favorite fish store right now) is having a sale right now, and they're selling figure 8 puffers. This means I won't have to buy online. What's even better is that I just bought the bacteria. What's even awesomer is that they have their puffers in FW, so I don't have to take the time to acclimate the bacteria. I'll just have to acclimate to brackish after I get the puffer.

So add the seeded media, add the puffer, then slowly increase salinity by .001 every 2-3 days and you should be all set.
 
K, I went to the pet store yesterday and they had some puffers that resembled figure 8s. Here are some pics that I took of him. I'll ask the pet store to save a puffer fish for me so I can get this tank straight.

Is that puffer a F8 or a green spot?

Ok, right now something's wrong in the tank. The sale, fortunately is next week, so I don't have to wait too much. One of the shrimp died, and I did a water test. The ammonia is somewhere between .25 and .50. The nitrates are under 5.0 and the nitrites are at 0.25-0.50.
I'm gonna move everything to the pond. THE SHRIMP I MEAN.
 
well it looks like you have one figure 8 and the other three are green spotted. I would do 10-20% water changes daily intill every thing is stable. My guess is that it is from adding 4 fish and the bactieria all at once.
 
just a suggestion but you may want to return the green spotted ones and get just one more figure 8. puffers are very territorial in my experiance and need more room than oter fish. also i would put in some rock in the form of caves and lots of brackish plants. the aggression will come when the mature.

Those were in the pet store's tank. So the large one in the center was a f8?
