So what DO you drive??

I own a '91 Isuzu pickup with 145,000 miles on it that I am going to donate to a charity shortly because I just bought a 2005 Hyundai Accent last Saturday. :) I've never had a brand new car before and I LOVE it. It's an inexpensive car, but really fun to drive and has everything I needed/wanted on it. My first car was a '72 Mercury Montego, hehe...big ol' boat.

I take a bus to work every day since I work downtown and parking is $6.00 a day or more depending on where you find a spot, not to mention traffic, snowstorms, sub-zero temps, etc.

On a side-note, that Isuzu pickup was the most loyal little vehicle. I hardly had any maintenance done to the poor thing and it still runs reliably. (Except it doesn't like the cold MN winters, even after changing out the battery, thermostat and motor oil.)

My first car that my Dad helped me buy was a mid-80's (can't remember the exact year) Subaru Legacy 4 door. Loved that car. Bought it for $2400, drove it 3 years, sold it for $2100. Talk about holding value! :)

...Then I was 19 and wanted to buy my own new car all by myself. Bought a bright purple Ford Aspire. My Dad kicked me in the @$$ for it, but I thought it was SO me! Complete with matching purple cow print seatcovers! It was HOT!

Then I met the man that would become my husband... and before he would get into the car, he required that I remove the cow seatcovers. So I did. And 3 years later, on the very same day that he proposed to me, we drove to the car dealership and traded the Grape Ape in on a 1999 Subaru Outback Sport Wagon, which I am still driving today. We literally left the car dealership in the new car and drove straight to the jewelry store and bought my engagement ring.

That was one expensive day for my man! :thud:

Gotta 03 Chevy Impala and lovin it!
Hubby's gotta 96 Ford F-150.
Funny thing is I don't like Fords and he doesn't care for GM cars, but we don't drive each others much.

I currently drive a Buell motorcycle. I will be upgrading VERY soon to an 05 Suzuki. My wife lets me drive her Durango when it's raining......sometimes

Michelle,

Your avitar is scary. That women has always freeked me out!!

i got a bmw 5 series its a 92 but i got most of the later model stuff on it and some m5 stuff too. and some headlights i got shipped from germany. those 100 watt h1 headlights are awesome. but now my daily driver is an 04 f150 4x4 lariat. its a supercrew. well usually daily i kind of run out of gas and money a few days before i get paid.

When I last could drive I cherished my 1972 MG Midget and 2001 Triumph Daytona 955i.

Drive while you can there are those of us who can only envy you. ;)

In the States I drive a 04 Durango. Which is my baby and she is sitting back there waiting for me to get home.

Here in Okinawa I drive a 92 Toyota Corona. I'm still getting used to driving on the wrong side of the car and street. When I get back in 11 months, I'll have to get used to driving normal again. :D
