I actually began training to become an interpreter a few years ago, but left my program halfway through to pursue this career instead. As a result of my two years of college, I'm fairly fluent in American sign language, which comes in handy as many of my clients are deaf. I also work with people who are hard of hearing, have learning challenges, or for any other reason have a need to access information in print form as it is being presented.
