So, whats your REAL job?

I'm a financial planner, specializing in helping small businesses organize their retirement plans so they can keep more of what they earn. Prior to that I was in real estate for 10 years...

I am a network engineer contracted to an automotive company. Right now, I am doing primarily project management related work and communications.

I'm a nurse too, like Somethingfishy and Dave11. It is a great profession, with so many different options! I work as a QA/intake nurse for a home health agency, taking md office and pt calls, reviewing charts for compliance, intaking referals in new pts, and some staff education. I work 1 Sat a month, no evenings..in the office at 8, out at 4:30 or thereabouts, unless charts are stacked up near the end of the month and then have to put in "OT" to get done..since salaried, don't get ot pay.
I did the hospital thing when I first got out of school, working part time. They were always pressuring me to work extra, and I kept saying but I work part time for a REASON..I have kids. I bailed and haven't looked back.

um i specialize in calling people at dinner time to try and sell them things that i know they dont want. aka Telemarketer

I've been working as a Tradeshow Exhibit Builder for awhile now.

I work as a freelancer on college and university campuses. My job is to attend classes or meetings and translate the spoken word into print (a lot like real time captioning), using a laptop computer. I actually began training to become an interpreter a few years ago, but left my program halfway through to pursue this career instead. As a result of my two years of college, I'm fairly fluent in American sign language, which comes in handy as many of my clients are deaf. I also work with people who are hard of hearing, have learning challenges, or for any other reason have a need to access information in print form as it is being presented. It's a difficult job, but I love it :)

Yay! Have you ever done that at the Rochester Institute of Technology? That's where I currently am and I'm learning ASL. I absolutely LOVE it!

work... HA! I dont have to worry about that for about 10years! (depending on what I do in college)
did anyone else think that it was weird that Kasako(sp? the 'say what' guy) was in 7th grade? how many adults do you think that he has given advice to over the last month or so?
how ironic...
