So... where are you all going to vacation this year?

I think I will spend quite a bit of time this summer away from home. Planning an eco-tourism trip through california. Taking the 395 out to Bishop & Mono Lakes area, hopefully see Long Valley Caldara, the lakes, and other cool stuff. Then head up north to Lasson. Spend two or three days hiking around the Lasson area, then head down through the west coast area, see the redwood forests, etc.

Then, I think I will be spending a week out in La Quinta (20 miles east of Palm Springs) over 4th of July.

My Grandmother wants me to visit her in DC before her and her husband move to Hawaii, I'd like to get that trip in.

I WAS going to go to Germany and spend a week in August at the Nurburgring with the BMWCCA. Three days of school two days of track time, all really cheap. But I think I'll do that next year, because it may conflict with school. Plus, I think they are already full.

I'm going back to Vegas in a few weeks for round II (ongoing tattoo project) on my arm. A few days with my Vegas buds, away from the family will put me back in the right frame of mind. In June the entire family is doing something and going somewhere, not quite sure yet.

Vacation, hhhmmm, I don't quite remember what that word means. The last trip we went on was our honeymoon in St. Lucia, so I travel to the bookcase and break out the pictures when I need a mental getaway...

My family has a couple cabins up on a lake in the mountains. We hope to get up there once or twice this summer sometime. Pretty much, if we can't take a rowdy Dingo and two squirrely girls, then we don't go!

July, we have a trip to New York for my sister-in-laws wedding.

Vacation--depends on one major factor. If my husband gets orders to a new base, I'd prefer to go on a vacation before hand, since I have leave to take. He'd rather wait until after, just in case we need the money...I'm just afraid that would mean we wouldn't get to go on vacation for many years. As for where---yeah, um, well, we need to figure that out!

Yes I did, and I went back for seconds when you added more. I really miss the desert...no one here in MN can understand that. I really enjoyed your pictures and the information you provided. I hope you'll do something similar on your next trip.

So you could end up on vacation as the same place as me. Here in beautiful Okinawa. We have all branches of the service here.

Actually, it is rather nice here and a lot to do. I am waiting for the weather to warm up a little more before I go snorkling on the reefs and take classes to learn to scuba.

I need to get up there someday, since it's only a few hours drive away and I actually know people who live there. Now that I've got a reliable vehicle, I don't have much of an excuse not to go, hehe...
