thats what i used to do until i got sick of it so i named them the first thing that came to mind

My kids love to name the fish. I have to admit I have named a couple too.

"Boots", "Isa", and "the Big Red Chicken" = 3 giant danios
"Pearly" = lighter colored MM sunset platy
"Buddy" = Betta
"Shiny Poptart" = Blue MM Platy
"Yue" = butterfly koi

None of the others have names. Can you guess which ones the kids named? LOL

Man i want to take a stab at it... lets see....

Kids named- Boots, Pearly, Buddy, and Shiny Poptart (LOL)

3 Angelfish: X-Ray, Catscan, Deepfried
1 Labeo: Peach
6 Clown Botia: Pinky, Penny, Pwned (the other 3 havent been named yet)
2 Ropefish: Decala, Scyla
2 Cobalt Gourami: Karin, Blupja
2 Pearl Gourami: Bertha, Erma
1 Unknown fish: Gill
1 Ramrazi(sp?): Homer
1 African Butterflyfish: Johnny Cool
1 small shrimp: Jacques
2 banded loaches: Huey, Dewy

We also have a salamander tank and a cray tank...and EVERYONE has names!

I've given names to my goldfish, but not to any others that I have. The names are

Butthead
Ariel
Boggles
When I had a betta, he was named Buster, then Buster 2.0 for the second one. Not to mention Thelma and Carrottop for my first 2 guppies.
