So, You Think You Know Who Ships Best- FedEx, UPS or USPS?

I'm in Australia, but can I ask.. If you mark fragile, why does it get more abused?
because folks working their butts off for long hours at thankless jobs for lousy pay aren't exactly the happiest, most content people all the time. they're usually not so educated also, otherwise they probably wouldn't be stuck in such dead-end jobs where a conveyor belt drops something in the end of a truck and your job is pick up box... put box on top of other box... hope boxes don't fall. then there's some of the death trap equipment that actually eats a percentage of packages also....

but, hey... some folks think it's safe to pay minimum wage to the least educated, youngest allowed by law individuals and make them hustle their butts off and comply to our every demand and think nobody's spitting in their food when they come back without a receipt and demand more food, too. :screwy:

I think don't think it's reasonable to label a carrier based on one test performed because it really depends on who is handling the packages. Some people are rather gentle, while others are quite the opposite.

My wifes brother works for USPS and anytime i need to ship my fish stuff or hav people ship me fish or fish stuff he gives me "caution highly explosive" stickers to put on it hahahah. Not only does my package get anywere in the continetal US in 12 hours or less but the box is usally in better condition then when it left lol

Haha, I could use some of those :P My local USPS offices don't want to ship live packages for whatever reason, so the few packages I have shipped in the past were labeled "Fragile." Luckily, they arrived okay...

The only real problem I have had with USPS was ordering an MP3 Player online, which thankfully had tracking. I noticed it was re-routed to a warehouse in another state & called to report the issue. They told me they would put a flag in the system so that it could not be re-routed again... it arrived at a sorting facility in NJ, only to be re-routed a second time and actually arrive at the warehouse in another state, instead of my house. Luckily I was able to let the MP3 company deal with that instead of losing both MP3 & my money. I don't really blame USPS for that because I don't know if they put the flag in the system and still got screwed, or if it could have happened with another carrier...

Either way, the packages I have received from USPS have been in adequate condition. I would like to see a poll on what states/regions have the worst methods... aka the places more likely to see a fragile package kicked into place.
