cupido settling in - to be honest so far the a. p. are getting along with the cupido; of course one has to see what happens when they have frys...

Had this guy for a couple of years; used to be in a 40B but moved to the 440; he is actually about 3 feet from the camera (the aquarium is 4 feet wide)

Only had this little guy a couple of years; he has 20 or 25 friends but they never come out.... just this brave little fellow (or more likely gal)

Some of my plants from a low-tech aquarium - the red whiptails allow you to see just how pink the pink plants are:

Wow, love them! Now that you've shown, please tell the crypts names. You always have interesting plants & fish...but now in BIG tanks...
Names will make you sad; but the top is called something like pink line nurii rosen; the one below it is jacobi pink; the one below that is nurii rosen of some sort; and the last one is cordata var siamensis (which has an interesting story); all are crypts all have been well establised for over 18 months; all are in the same aquarium but you can see how the colour of the plants mess up the colour balance on the phone by lookking at the substrate - the pink plants make the camera turn the substrate pink while the plain nurii the substrate looks more accurate - silly phone. Having said that those plants are really pink as seen by the red whiptails under them which are quite red. Anyway lovely plants even if they are probably going to pack bags and hide like all my orange lasers.

I had a baby "jacobsenii pink" until my plant grow out tank had a melt down (sniffle, not sure why). It looked pretty much like your "pink" but I've also seen it look entirely uniformly pink, no hash marks or shading. I have some?? C. nurii variations. Not sure what they are or what their ancestry is...maybe "mutated" or (possibly) something else...I'm not the worst in my club keeping up with names.

Now you have to say why I might be sad...I'm betting I can't grow your green & white striped crypt...is that it? It's spectacular!

Since I don't do co2 (& I think maybe you don't either? I forget) many plants look different sometimes. (shrug) as long as they look good to me I'm happy...
