You know very few fishes object to an overgrown aquarium; and those that do are usually large enough to solve the problem themselves.

LOL, jake! My fish don't object to algae covered glass either My wonderful husband scraped tank glass & did some water changing while I was off at a plant club meet. Of course he's not perfect I'll need to vac out all the algae. He does water not crud removal.
