Better focus on one species first although Betta albimarginata should be fine with these gouramis.

Oh... The albimarginatas would come at least a month or so later. They retail for almost $100 a pair for captive bred stock, so the vaillanti would have plenty of time to settle in to their surroundings before I could afford the albimarginatas. If the vaillanti prove to be more robust than I think they are going to be, it may be worth a try, but for sure, I will be erring on the side of caution.
