Starting up Saltwater! Woo!

Throw up a pic and maybe we can ID it for you.

Hay, you are doing such a good job, I'm sure you will get threw this!!!!

Well the algea has stoped growing or slowed considerably... which is good :)

And in exciting news, I FOUND THE MANTIS SHRIMP. lol. Its about 7cm long and got awesome colours. I was a noob with the last one, it was a copepod. lmao. When I catch it I will be selling it to the LFS. And I got pics ;)

I never knew how smart they are!!! Mine puts a rock infront of its cave as a door! No kidding. Its insane, and just the way it interacts with me when i'm feeding it is crazy. But I cant catch it, it just ducks back in its hole and puts the door up.. LOL.

You can also see some of the mushroom (morphs) I added a couple of days ago :)

Here you go :)

That is a peacock mantis shrimp!

They are really cool but I would not recommend it with fish and your other typical reef community animals.

Neat find for sure though. Do some googling and you'll find some interesting videos. The videos shot in the wild are pretty neat.

Also, it's small but I would not recommend handling it with your bare hands.

LOL, toooo funny....maybe try knocking on his door!

Yeah no way I'm handling it after the way it attacks that skewer... I feel the impact of it out of the water. Lol

And G, if you touch his door he pulls it down and peers out. Lol

Greech, and ideas on how to catch it? I've never seen it out.. Lol

Thats awesome! I didn't know they did that either.

Love the Aquaclear Fuge as well. I really want to try one soon; let us know how it works out for you.

Yeah, its really interesting. I'll get pics

Oh and the fuge is good, but I cant see much growth in the macro algea which is dissapointing

They are pretty smart but I believe there are traps you can buy and DIY traps. Just do some searching and you'll get some ideas.
