steelerfan's 30 Gallon Breeder Journal/Build

A very sportsman-like response, well played

other than yesterday of course, i like the packers. i am steelers through and through, but i am kind of happy for rodgers as the favre saga is now over :-)

now if pouncey's brother can slip to us in the draft....;)

looking good, keep us updated.

thanks nb, thanks snupa.

still was cloudy this morning, and since i am draining it on thursday to level it and then have to find a good placement for the tunze's i am figuring it will be cloudy a bit longer.

i have nothing but time :-)

thanks man.

i am gonna drain tank to level it and then i am gonna have to work on the position of those 6015's as i still got some sand moving in spots.

The sand will slime up a bit which will help it hold. Takes a little while though.

just a question for the pros here:

my tank still hasn't cleared up at all from the above pic.

is this time period normal?

i am not too concerned as i am going to be taking the water out tomorrow anyway to level tank, but just was wondering if it can take a while for some tanks to clear up?

the 2 tunze 6015's are blowing a little bit of sand around bottom, but nothing major.

also, tested ammonia today just for giggles and it is reading .50, so i gues there is a little bit of die off from the fiji dry, as i haven't added anything to start the cycle process, since again, i will be leveling it tomorrow.

thanks for your time.

Depending upon various factors, no, it isn't terribly unusual. It could be related to anything from mechanical disturbance (dust in sand still being moved about, especially if sand is moving) to something biological, like bacterial blooms.
