Steve's Reef Diary - new experience

I am holding both a FW and a SW card now and there is a definite difference. Where the FW 0ppm is a bright butter yellow it is a burnished gold on the SW.

edited to add: There are a few cards in the kit that will still work, I think the nitrates will. On the top of those cards it lists it is for both FW and SW.

Thanks, Grins. We really need to buy a kit, but we are SOOOOOOO broke right now, and now that we have the SW tank, I think we are going to stay that way

Cool - thanks for your help - that will get us by for the next few days - until payday... God knows, we might as well sign our checks over to the lfs. That's where all our money goes anyway... $280 this week... Shheeesshh who'd a thunk? But we love our fishes and they deserve the best!!

Totally - and we really haven't gotten started on the SW part yet. All we have in the tank is live rock, oh, and I forogt to say that we added live sand last night, crabs and snails.

Last night at fishie club meeting (at the lfs) we bought worms as well as the sand, crabs and snails, and everyone was joking with Steve about having crabs and worms.

I wish you had asked about the sand here first. You could have saved some money with buying a good aragonite minus the live part. The live rocks will seed the sand without needing to pay extra for it. What kind of worms did you buy?
