Still dealing with some disease.

Well its been another month or so and my tank is still infected.
Heres is a link to my second thread.. original is inside as well.

I tried treatment for Columnaris but it seems to have had no effect.

Basically it starts at a white patch either on the fishes side or by its face, but quickly it starts to eat away at the fish, becoming VERY severe. While it has persisted in my tank for awhile now it has only been infecting 1 or 2 fish at a time and only my lemon tetras nothing else. The picture in the thread shows only the very beginning stages of it. Eventually it eats the area away to nothing.

Right now i have a couple that seem to be in the early stages of it that i plan to euthanize with clove oil as i haven't had one survive that has shown any symptoms of it.

Any help would be welcome.

Tank measures remain the same as in previous thread.
 
Finally able to get a decent picture of it in its early stages,
the one behind the obvious one is the one i really want euthanize as its other side of its face is missing to the eye which i can't imagine is recoverable from.

I'll try and get some more however its been hard as the camera i am using is very old, newer one will be back Monday.

To describe it further, it starts like that but then aggressively eats away at the tissue. I have noticed it starting by the face, the side, and once by the tail section.
 
Here is some more pictures. This has been so frustrating, makes me want to give up. Looks like several more are showing early signs of infection.

Here the pictures from early to later to very late stages in development. I got a good picture of the one that had its face infected.. I really want to euthanize it however it is still to active to catch.. I think it will die in the next few days hopefully.

Still looks to be columnaris to me. This is an extremely hard disease to cure. The only success that I have had with it are fish that are able to fight it off. I have a guppy tank that I cannot add anything to becuase they immediately get sick but the fish that area already in there are OK.

Anything i can do to not have the tank be completely destroyed? :(
 
Ensure the best water conditions and the best food you can to prevent spread and aid the fishes' natural defence mechanisms. Some fish will recover; some will not. Eventually you'll end up with a proportion of surviving fish. Don't add any more fish during this period.

Try a different med as well.
