STOCK MY 150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike D- they are a redbreast sunfish, two color phases of longear sunfish, and a northern studfish. You want them because they are irresisitable.

I would think a tank with those species would be nice ,heavily planted and some driftwood,to tie together a nice native tank,

Pacu, red-tailed cats and tiger shovelnoses are not suitable long-term for a 150. I don't even think I'd do a lima shovelnose, at full grown it would barely have enough room to turn around.

I don't think it is advisable to simply get a fish and then ditching them once they begin to outgrow the tank, BFK. I'd rather the OP sticks with fish not growing to more than 8 inches. This is much easier than suggesting large fish which won't be with you for a long time.

Aoscar, what do you think so far? What fish have you decided thus far? We'd like to hear more about your final decisions.:)

loaches crossed my mind mabey w/ discuss I don't know I'm trully a oscar nut but I kind of want to try something new I'll keep checking this thread for a while as I know the AC family is full of great ideas
If you plan to keep discus, then you can consider blue rams, angelfish, tetras, pencilfish, corydoras and plecos for tankmates. Of course, we have to make sure they tolerate temperature exceeding 82 degrees Fahrenheit otherwise they'll simply die from lack of tolerance to it. If you wish to keep tetras, here's the list of the following that can actually tolerate the high temperature yet compatible to discus and even angelfish without much risk of fin nipping.

Black Neon Tetra(Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi)
Bleeding Heart Tetra(Hyphessobrycon erythrostigma)
Cardinal Tetra(Cheirodon axelrodi)
Diamond Tetra(Moenkhausia pittieri)
Emperor Tetra(Nematobrycon palmeri)
Glass Bloodfin(Prionobrama filigera)
Green Fire Tetra (Aphyocharax rathbuni)
Head-and-Tail-Light(Hemigrammus ocellifer)
Kerri Tetra(Inpaichthys kerri)
Lemon Tetra(Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis)
Penguin tetra(Thayeria boehlkei)
Rummy-Nose Tetra(Hemigrammus bleheri)
Rummy-Nose Tetra(Hemigrammus rhodostomus)
Rummy-Nose Tetra(Petitella georgiae)
Silver-tipped Tetra(Hasemania nana)

If you still opt to keep loaches, then depending on the species you prefer, I can give you a list of tankmates that will work perfectly well. Of course, it'll mostly be barbs, rasboras and danios anyway.:)
