Clown loaches get MUCH BIGGER than yoyos:kmgriff72 said:I have seen what I think yo-yo loaches are in a picture posted here and they were just as big as the clowns. Could you please post a picture of what they look like to see if that is what I was looking at.
I agree the tank is not too small to get clown loaches as long as it is understood that they will eventually need a 180 gallon aquarium minimum. If you know you will be unable provide this then do not get any. It is rare that a clown loach would only grow to a max size of 6". Any clown loach this small is usually the result of stunting.debaric said:your tank isnt too small for clown loaches, dont worry about that unless they are over 5 inches. If you have smaller clowns a 75 is FINE for a couple years. I have 5 in my 75 with a small school of tetras, they are the greatest fish ever. I would just recommend varying up their diet and changing water in small amounts, twice a week to keep them happy. I'd say if you get them in the 2-4 inch range to start with they will be fine for awhile. Just plan to upgrade in the future if/when (some dont EVER get over 6 inches no matter how well you maintain them) they get huge.
