Stocking and ordering fish online

Conflicting advice is a standard of fish keeping. :) What are the negatives you've heard about adding them all at once?

What are you stocking in this tank?

I heard it might "shock" my bacteria adding so many fish right after a cycle. I plan on getting just the "cookie cutter selection", like Yellow Labs, white Labs, saulosi, blue Acei, and rustys.

If you are starting out with small ones i would go ahead and put them all in but make sure your Nitrites are in check if not you will kill them all.. I know some hobbyist recommend a fishless cycle but i have always used none expensive fish and just took them back after i had the tank cycled..

The bacteria will be fine, it's been grown in large enough quantities that NOT adding a decent amount of fish would be more shocking to it. If you only added 7 juvis to a tank that is used to you literally pouring ammonia into it the extra (majority of) bacteria is just going to starve and die off. Juvis have very small bio-loads, I added ~40 juvis to my 72g at once (technically without the fishless cycle) and never had any problems, I just monitored the water very closely.
