So, I am thinking I should just toss this stupid thing out....

I have a 1g that was given to me. It comes with it's own UGF and tiny light.

The smallest heater that I have seen is for a 2.5g. And I have read time and time again that you shouldn't put that size in a 1g as you can easily fry whatever is in there.

The light produces a fair amount of heat, and the temperature of the room is 70 degrees.

After a lot of research, I decided the only thing I could keep in there would be a few cherry shrimp.

They lasted a week, and then they....::::sob:::::....died. I was so devastated, I felt so horrible. :( I shouldn't have even tried. Just now am I able to talk about it. :'(

So, what am I supposed to do with this thing? I am thinking about just chucking it out (well, its plastic...so recycling bucket)..... I am not going to give it away, too much of a risk of it landing in the hands of someone who tries to stuff some poor little fishies in there.

I can grow plants...but I can do that in ALL my other tanks!

yeah, i would feel bad about keeping anyhitng in there, i kind of feel bad about putting things in my 45G ever since i got my 75g, whichc is why my 45 is still empty

I've rarely seen a 1 gallon that didn't look cruel. I've seen some nano white cloud minnows (2) kept in one that was planted quite successfully.

my betta fish are kept in tanks far smaller then 1 gallon quite happily.
