Stupid Coralife Timer!! ARGH! Need help!

I bought a Brinks digital 7 day 24 hour timer. Each day only had 8 programmable settings. Worked fine for my first UV filter I only needed to set 12hrs On/12 Off but I had to set each day separately then if power was lost I had to set it all over again. Later when I wanted to use it on a filter for cycling 30 min On/30 Off the timer was limited to a minimum of 8 settings per day. Then when I lost power one day and needed to spend an hour reprogramming it I could not find the the "Orphan Anny secret decoding book and ring", sarcasm for instruction book. Now it sits in my useless tech pile awaiting the next $1 garage sale :wall:.

Just give me the 50 little mechanical on & off switches that rotate every 24 hours.:grinyes:

Don't forget that the Coralife Digital timer will also allow you to set different on/off times for different days which an analog cannot do. For example I am at work M-F so I have my lights come on at 3 pm and go off at 9 pm (when I am at home). On Saturday and Sunday I have them come on at 9 am and go off at 10 pm for the same reason. To set a different day press the "day" button when programming until the right day or combination of days appears at the top of the screen.
they also sell digital ones that allow you to do all of that too.

Yes Mgamer. That is the advantage to a digital timer. But not something you can do with an ANALOG timer as I mentioned.
You would need two Digital timers to be able to do daylight and moonlight and have different settings for different days. The Coralife allows you to do it in one and have 4 additional outlets for other accessories.
