Stupid Discus

if the heaters are placed in different locations ..it should not be an issue.. you can watch their behavior prior to laying eggs.. they tend to 'clean' the area where they intend to lay the eggs.. so you should be able to tell when to shut the heater off.

Well I have decided to move the heater to about an inch off of the bottom and I hope this will deter them from laying there.

Here are some more pics. 2 are the male eating eggs and 1 is both of them eating some beefheart. The female is small but very active.

Maybe its the texture of the object?

Finally! Congrats and good luck! Good move on putting the heater horizontally.

Stupid Discus laid eggs on the heater. I don't know how long they have been there so I'm gonna let them fry. Maybe god will let some survive.

Discus love vertical spawning sites. Should have placed the heater horizontally to start with that way they wouldn't recognize it as their site.

The eggs were destroyed by fungus or not fertile......or both.

Will need to wait for the 5th time. They lasted longer than ever this time around though.

Add H202 at a rate of 1mL / gallon every 12 hours and you won't have any fungus. Do this until the eggs hatch.
