Submersible clocks...

Firstly, would there be any negative effects to my fish if I were to place a submersible clock into my tank? If the answer is no, has anyone done this? Battery Powered or wind up? And does anyone know of a manufacturer? Thank you very much.

I can completely understand the urge to put strange things in a tank. I just bought a 3 inch small remote control submarine. It was actually designed for aquarium use. The idea is that you can buzz it around your tank, chasing your fish. It has a bright blue headlamp that shows up quite brightly in the dark. My fish (white clouds, platy, amano shrimp) immediately hid when I put the sub in. I didn't actually chase them with it of course. That would be mean, as opposed to just immature. :

I should last. Even if it didnt they are so cheap you could get another one. They have all sorts of loony designs these days.

perhaps he wants to know what time it is when he's staring in to his tank.. or wants to create a unique kind of clock.. "hey whats the time??" "OH just let me check my fish tank..." :joke:
