Sulawesi shrimp

Ok.... so who's up for a collecting trip?!

I didnt mean you were wrong Danimal, in no way.

I see Ryan at Planet Inverts has these available and he will start shipping them on March 10! They are all listed as wild caught Caridina sp.

It would really be a bad thing if people exausted the natural supply to make a few bucks only to find out that they won't breed in captivity. The shrimp are only in 1 lake in the world? How are "they" catching them? what are they doing to the environment? What is anyone doing to ensure people don't exploit the shrimp and their lake?

They are prolly doing "nothing". where did the Indians go?

Remember that everything is wild caught at first. It is up to hobbyists for the most part to ensure that we pursue captive breeding to preserve the species in the wild.

O I understand that after we get them or want them its best to purchase from "us" than the websites or big box stores, but thats after the fact and the lake would already be "dipped" into?
