Swollen goldfish question.

My goldfish died today. He did not eat yesterday and when I woke up this morning he was laying on the bottom near death. His fins where all torn, apparently the other goldfish was picking at him.
Went to the store for a container, so the goldfish could die in peace, but he was dead dead when I returned. Very sad day for me.

I'm so sorry to hear he didn't make it, Twistersmom. Unfortunately it's very difficult to diagnose an internal lump like that, and if it was a tumor it may have been pressing on internal organs which would be incurable and fatal.
