tank crack leads to disaster! please read

I personally think he should upgrade the tank for you. after all it was bad adviced from him to you.

they should have been able to set you up with something .

Make a big noise, daniel 364.

Raise your voice, speak to the manager.bring photos of the damage that thier bad advice has caused.

Sorry to hear about this whole mess. but you are definitely growing from this...
Goodluck!

make them give you like a 29 or something. Some driftwood. Take em to court :)! Make them pay for all the damage at your house!

Rant and rage until you get what you want. Make a scene if you have to(they really hate that, someone might see or hear what happened). I think that at the very least they should compensate you for you losses and upgrade your tank since it was thier bad advice that caused this whole mess.

On another note(and I know I'm just being a mom here) try to think of this as a learning experience. Believe me, we all have gone through simuliar situations like this in the hobby. It happens to all of us at one time or another. Hang in there! It is only a week. Of course if you make the scene now you could end up with something better like right away.

P.S.

Bring your father with you. It sounds like he was off the wall and maybe he should vent to them. Let him tell them all the damage this caused because of them! Chances are they will listen to him more than you because you are not an adult(I'm assuming).

Thanks for your advice evryone and i suppose if it was going to happen its better to happen now while im still in the learning prosess with a 17 rather than something bigger which could of been worse. When i pick my tank im going to ask for some free stuff, i would love have an upgrade but i simply dont have room so i think stuff like more fish food as im getting low some brine shripm for a treat if they all make it and whatever i can get out of him. Really missing my fish at the moment i have nothing to watch! Im holding him responsibe if any die in thos stupid small tanks that you at lfs. Its lucky im back to school on friday so that will take my mind of them for a little while.

Thanks so much for the advice, much apreciated.

Daniel-

As the others have said, raise a ruckus! The tank was Unfit for Purpose.

Don't be afraid to raise hell. The British "Stiif Upper Lip" and Reserve (assume your British from the Brit style mains plug in your pic-My Sherlock Holmes Schtick for the moment!) won't get you anywhere!

Give 'em hell! :mad2:

Just don't talk to the poor kid who makes five bucks an hour and can't do anything for you anyhow. Ask for a manager right away.

And definitely ask for what you deserve. That mess and headache is worth a lot!

Good Luck to you... the hobby can only get better from here!

If available ther, demand some Bio-Spira to get the tank up quicker. Throw a mild fit, try to do it at their busy point.
