Tank for Christmas

If it were me I would do a sexy shrimp biotype. Clown goby would be cool too.

i have 2 stocking choices id like to choose from:

1: 3 sexy shrimp, 1 bumblebee shrimp(always thought they looked cool), and 1 trimma or eviota goby

2: 5 sexy shrimp and 2 trimma or eviota goby

I would go with #1. More variety. Never seen a bumblebee shrimp in person myself so that would be a cool one to have. Thought of another really cool goby perfect for that size tank, a Panda Goby!

If you thought a Clown Goby was small, look at the Panda next to a yellow clown goby.

I can't recall, but I think bumblebee shrimp are gnathophyllid shrimp like the harlequin shrimp. I know they will eat starfish "feet," but I'm not sure if it is an absolute requirement for long term survival.

i did not know that i will have to do more research on them(which i just did and another common name for them is the striped harlequin shrimp lol). well i guess they are out the window because i dont want a shrimp i have to feed starfish to.

i will probably go with choice number 2 then, i might not have the variety but i will be sure to get 2 different gobies which will give a little more color variety.

i have also found a solution to my lighting needs with a PC retrofit kit from nanotuners.com
http://www.nanotuners.com/product_info.php?products_id=34

this will give me 36w of light over the tank which should be ample lighting

I like #2 as well. Nice choice IMO!

I had no idea that Pandas were that tiny!

yeah i am no longer surprised by how small gobies can be because every time i think ive found one that is the smallest i see a post about another species that stays even smaller lol

now all i have to do is find a place for the tank, find somewhere that sells the sand i want, find some rock, retrofit the hood, order everything, and set the tank up. boy do i have alot to do lol
