Well, I'm preparing to make my own fish tank (75 gallon) and I'm thinking about my stocking options, so far I have;

3 GBR (1 M, 2F)
8 Harlequin Rasboras
3 Angels

I believe that still leaves me with a fair chunk of room. I have noticed that most of them like to stay in the midddle-top region of the fish tank, so I'm looking for a middle-bottom dweller. Any suggestions?

Cory

I have a hard time finding Corie's around here, and it says Yo Yo's like sand, but I was thinking about a gravel bottom.

get a nice pleco around 6-8 inches, any tank should have one IMO

You don't need sand for yoyo's. All they need is some places to hide. Mine are in a bare bottom tank with a piece of driftwood and they are as content as can be.

Ok, maybe I'll look for some of those. For driftwood, can I just use some wood from a local lake, or do I need special wood?

I wouldn't use wood from a local lake as it could have parasites and/or unwanted pests and you don't know what chemicals it has been exposed to that might leech out into your aquarium. Check Big Al's Online to see if they ship to your area. They should have some.

Go with yoyos. You'll never see kuhli loaches.

You'll never see kuhlis only if you keep them in lesser numbers. Kuhlis are rather shy fish and will not show up unless kept in a number of 10 or more which a 75g can fortunately support and unless there is plenty of hiding places to make them feel more comfortable. They prefer subdued lighting as well in comparison to bright lighting. I still think kuhlis are IMO better than yoyos. At least, the competition for food with cories is minimized in comparison to yoyos.
