?Tanked?, a New TV Show for Aquarium Enthusiasts

Anyone watch it last night? It just keeps getting worse with each episode. Last week filling a phone booth with a bunch of yellow tangs, this week making a jukebox aquarium and stuffing what looks like 40 fish in a 40G tank, a power blue tang, 2 butterflies, 20+ damsels, clowns, hawk, anthias, flame angel, etc.... and to top it off, all they are using is what appears to be a Fluval canister filter to filter the whole tank.

These guys are great and making tanks, but they are worse than a 5 year old stocking them. I would rather have an ugly looking tank and happy/proper home for the living creatures inside vs a flashy tank and stressed out/dying fish all the time.

Yeah, from what I've seen so far, I'd rather just see them make the custom tanks and set up the aquascape/theme stuff, but not mess with the stocking at all. This show would be great if it were more like Mythbusters, doing big outlandish projects, but taking safety into consideration, and educating the audience at the same time. But, since Discovery/AP seems to think that a majority of the viewing audience just want to see a family business with lots of arguments... I wonder... How do Mythbusters ratings stand up against American Chopper?

*EDIT* I just checked. American Chopper has higher ratings, but is lower in it's class, while Mythbusters is #1 in it's class.

That tanked show is pretty bad because they always try to make a new type of fish tank every episode and that is just boring

seems to me these guys are quacks,.. the phone booth one just about had me fit to be tied,.. all these not compatable fish and hard to keep fish going into homes of people that dont know how to care for them,..most of the time all salt water ones,.. had to keep with newbies

....20+ damsels....
The damsels will fix that themselves. From what I've seen they are very good at correcting stocking issues, at least when it comes to their own kind. :evil_lol:

I just forced myself to watch two episodes of that show. NEVER AGAIN. It was terrible, the tanks are cool sure, but I would rather not look at the tanks than listen to their stupidity.

Well, it has pros and cons. Hate the way they stock tanks and handle fish. Love the tanks themselves. I personally liked the QT system best, but do see why it would be best to have a different filter for each tank there. The car tank, urg, I think my eyes burned off when I saw that. I honestly thought "Poor fishes, they must hate the lighting!"

So yea, my final review: cool tanks, horrible fish care.

This show clearly appeals to the younger crowd that's maybe thinking about getting a fish tank and have no knowledge on the subject at all. These guys probably seem brilliant to them. To the rest of us (that actually know better), these guys are idiots.
