any thoughts on the last Tanked? The fridge tank was terrible. Hardly any room for those African cichlids to move with all the shelving and lame props in the "fridge".

Vacuuming/cleaning is going to be a pain! Mostly vertical space it seemed like..
I just watched this for the first time today. The tanks and fish are pretty cool. They built a tank for petco and one for kiss it was pretty cool.
Did anyone notice they decided to add tiger barbs with gouramis? My first thought was how many of us on this forum would be yelling NOOOOO!
First thing I thought. 2 months ago (before I kept fish) I probably would have still had lingering thoughts like that. If that was their new season where they promise the hobbyists will be happy I think they fell a little short. Not that the builds aren't cool but it's just problem after problem. I saw highlights of the skateboard tank when a guy actually rolled up the tank a bit, saw the kiss tank with the lights (don't know of the speakers were real but if they were then even worse), and the fridge tank with nothing but up and down room >.<
In one of the episodes they mentioned they were using filter media from an established tank, and some "good" bacteria in a bottle.
The speakers were not real, just the front covers to the amps that kiss often uses, they were trying to make it look like a stage at a concert.
The tanks are really cool, stocking isnt that great, and I have a feeling that the director of the show let them film info on filtration and cycling and all that, but never actually put it into the show and put in their pranks and all of that stuff.
The skateboard tank was stupid. The fridge tank is all vertical space probably covered in uneaten food and fish waste by now, and the lights in the kiss tank could be annoying to the fish, but I think they just had them flashing when they were showing it off to kiss. When they were showing the fish off, it was one solid color. The phone booth tank was overstocked, just like new york is with people, but they didnt put your standard filtration on that tank.
Nobody mentioned the slumberland tank. That was really cool, and didnt seem too overstocked.
What about the tatoo shop spade one? Filtration seemed fine, but cleaning and all would be a pain.
The shark tanks they do are cool, but their sharks keep growing and should really be in hundreds of thousands of gallons, not two thousand gallons.
What about that church tank? I thought that was cool with the marine biologist always there and even a kitchen where the food is prepared. That filtration room was huge!
Yeah definitely have some good stuff going on. I'll admit with something like this it will always be a target for what they do wrong but I still watch it (when I see it on) and like a lot of what they do. I think they try way to hard to be funny when they do interview pieces (like when they cut to them for a few seconds to talk about whatever is currently going on in the show) but that's alright
I actually thought about that with the kiss tank and hoped that the lights were just like that for the unveil. Honestly I think it would be annoying to have a fish tank strobing all the time so I'm sure they put it to a solid color and left it there after the unveil

The PetCo tanks were only stocked bad because they listened to a PetCo employee. :evil_lol:
I just watched the mob tank and they had a close up of one of the tangs and the thing was COVERED in ich.
Watching the Feng Chui (sp?) ep and the kid bed.
Feng Chui they stocked it with a school of Chromis to "fill out space" and because "they aren't passive but they aren't aggressive". Also a Flame Angel and the tank is going to have live coral. That's going to be one happy angel. Also they added a copper band for the "aptaz-e-ous" because they eat them.
