tattooed fish

if a little kid finds a fish that is his or her favorite color, they want it... trust me
Why does that matter??? Parents can say no. Adults dont always have to give their kids exactly what they want. They are above the influence, and all parents should teach their kids that buying fish from pet stores if not good. Parents can easily say no to a kid that wants a fish that is his or her favorite color... trust me.

i agree with what u are sayin in theory, but the parent is mostlikly not going to be a fish keeper and will not even know themselves

Yes, that is true. Kids shouldnt get everything they want though0 and parents can easily say no -- esspecialy to a fish of their favorite color.

It saddens me that we live in a world where its all about us. People don't see a problem with hurting animals just as long as the end product is 'fun'. Why people that do things like this aren't punished amazes me. If I took dogs cut off 2 legs and shaved them in the name of 'fun' and tried to sell them I would be a monster. Yet this to most is not considered evil, nor does it even affect them. "It's just a fish." Is a fish any less valid as a life than a cat, a dog, or a human. I could rant for hours but I'll cut myself off there.

It's an easy mistake for a new person in the hobby to make. Especially when the store owners can be misleading (whether intentionally or not) about the origins of the color in the fish.

When I was younger and I saw the 'painted' glass fish in the shops, I was told they were fed dyed food to color them. I had known the lady who owned the store long enough to know she wouldn't lie to me about the intentional injury of an animal. I don't even think SHE knew what had been done to them!!

It's just not something everyone is educated about... or educated properly about.

100% crap. Even if it was possible with a laser, I think it would still be done by some guy being paid 10 cents a day... Any LFS that gave that kind of stupid *** answer would be off my list indefinitely.
exactly why immedietly left and never went back, and they have since gone out of buisness

Imagine the pain they were in. It hurts enough getting a tattoo as a human, imagine a poor little fish.

I personally think the lipstick on them makes them look like drag queen fish, it looks really really pathetic..oh and awfully painful.
