Hey all,

So, my girl-friend and I have decided to take a little road trip and meet up for thanksgiving. She's been in Texas for grad-school for a couple years, so we only get to see eachother a few times per year. This will be the first time we've gone away alone together.

I want to do something romantic to surprise her, but alas, I'm a guy (and a moron when it comes to this sort of thing :lipssealedsmilie:). So I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or tips to get the creative juices flowing!?

Thanks for any help you can give!!!

All I can say is get the creative juices flowing, the best surprises are linked to your own personality.
Me?
I would do something to make her laugh and say "awww", because I'm a very sarcastic person.
I'd go for hiding a bouquet of flowers in a place that you know you're going.
Say for instance, a park.
Right before you go pick her up, hide the flowers or/and gift somewhere nobody would look, like behind a bush, or even in the bush, when you pick her up from wherever, go to the park and say you notice something funny in the bushes :] (make sure to have her name written on the flowers/gift)

Has to be in a very short time frame, or in a loosely traveled place to reduce the chance of theft.

Have fun ;)

Depends on where you're going and what kind of budget you have, it also depends on what you guys like to do.

If you'll be in Texas, then I can help you out. I've lived here for all of my 36 years.

We're going to meet up in Santa Fe, NM. I'm not as concerned about budget as making the trip fun and memorable. As far as likes, we're both pretty wide open. Anything fun/adventurous/new is always welcome.

Thanks for the thoughts so far...

skydiving, parasailing(sp), bungee jumping, something cool in the grand canyon, tour of brewpubs in seattle,

Romantic scenic flight over your favorite (or a special) area. Check with local flight schools or "FBOs" at the local airport. Probably cheaper than you think....~$200 or so and you may be able to bring your own champagne :)

I love Santa Fe! What a wonderful town.
My best friend from high school lives there. I can ask her. When are you going?

We'll be there wednesday-friday the week of thanksgiving. I'd love some local tips... thanks!
