I'll tell ya, its a good thing I've got long arms...even with 4-5" of sand across the bottom, I'm still up to my armpits reaching stuff on the sand bed. Deep tank.

If it is too much to handle, you could always send it this way. I would "force" myself to deal with it just to help make life easier for a fellow aquarist.
