The 75gal reef tank cycle has started!!!!!!!

ya, the 1 may work ok in the fuge, it definately isn't going to do anything in your 75G. I have a 2 in my tank and it only moves water about 8" out.. so with a 1 your looking at probably 5-6" of water push.. in a 75G tank, that isn't much.

The 1 would be perfect for putting in a trash can when mixing salt though.

That's an idea.

Yes cc , i did read but we will try and change if need be ,we got the larger graines ,just 1` bag so it isnt too much in there .

Well, good luck with the cc. I don't think you will hear anything but "remove/replace it ASAP" from here or any other aquarium forum. If you have more than just a handful of cc sprinkled on top then it is too much IMO. The larger the cc the bigger the problem.

It was only $28 so no big deal. Do you need that much flow in the fuge? I only have I figure around maybe 90/100gph going threw the fuge but didn't know if I need a power head in there.

It may be to much for the fuge.. hard to tell without trying it though. I would think the nano koralia would be ideal for the fuge if you even need one.. the overflow into the fuge may be enough already though.

Yeah you most likely won't need a PH in the fuge, the flow through from the overflow i bet will be enough.

Yeah I was thinking of the nano. She bought the #1 on her own but she is also thinking of using it in her 20gal. She has a 600gph rio in there now but she thinks that one might be to much. She might try the #1 in there also. So it's not like we can't use it some where.

My GF had it in her tank. It had gotten pretty nasty. She took about half of it out and put sand over the top. I think maybe she should have taken it all out because the other day she lost both her crabs for no apparent reason. 1 Porcelain and 1 Emerald. I'm wondering if it might be gases from the CC.
