The ACT is tomorrow, any tips?

im homeschooled, so how would that work out?
im planning on doing a four year college locally (to get the basics out of the way), and then going to Oklahoma for another 4 years doing vet school stuff. the local college should not be hard getting into, but it is a requirement...
the reason im going to the one in oklahoma is because i am cherokee (although i look NOTHING like it lol) and i can get free everything pretty much. doctor visits, college, etc., my parents are working on the paperwork to prove that we are cherokee right now. but that would be so nice to not have to worry about paying for college for the beginning half of my adult life. also my aunt and uncle are both proffessors there so thats a plus. even tho i probably won't be able to be in there classes, it will be nice to not be in a foreign state completely alone

I know! i was really excited when i found this out, i just hope it all goes through smoothly.

Does your family belong to a homeschool organization? That would be one place to get recommendations. Another possibility is your church (if you're a regular church attendant) especially if you volunteer there. If you've volunteered anywhere that would also be a source.

Just out of curiosity - which one? My best friend is a theater prof at Missouri State (or is that the U of Missouri) in Columbia.

(again - I'm just curious)) for the beginning half of my adult life. also my aunt and uncle are both proffessors there so thats a plus. even tho i probably won't be able to be in there classes, it will be nice to not be in a foreign state completely alone

This does sound like a really great plan! Are you interested in large or small animals, or have you decided yet? Study hard (and these programs are HARD) and I'm sure you'll do well.

And yes i do have a church, but i have only volunteered once, at a convoy of hope event.

im not sure yet, maybe Ozarks Technical College. but idk, my brother went there and i haven't been impressed with it, but i haven't heard anything bad either. but if im gonna be there for four years...ya know? i still need to do some looking around

as far as i know, every college within Oklahoma is free. my parents started checking up on it probably 4 years ago, and they haven't come across any information to imply otherwise, and my aunt and uncle (the professors) said it would work, but im still not for sure on that, i will have to make a point to check. and it is Oklahoma State University (OSU)

Both really. If by big you mean big dog, and by little you mean hamster size, then yup, both. but i don't really have an interest in specializing in cattle....lol. that just doesn't sound like my kinda job. and i want to be able to do stuff like wen trimmings on big goldfish and stuff (and yes, people do pay for stuff like that, however, both the people that are in need of this and the vets able to do it are few and far between)

im not sure yet, maybe Ozarks Technical College. Ozarks Tech (in SPringfield right?) is a 2 year school, not a 4 year so it will not give you the degree necessary to apply to vet school. Vet schools are EXTREMELY competitive (it's actually harder to get into vet school than medical school, so think very hard about your undergraduate institution). If you're really serious, then you really need to apply to some undergrad schools (of course they probably won't be free). but idk, my brother went there and i haven't been impressed with it, but i haven't heard anything bad either. but if im gonna be there for four years...ya know? i still need to do some looking around

Please feel free to PM me with any questions! As I said, I spend much of my time talking to pre-med and pre-vet majors and trying to help them get to where they want to go.

thanks leeser :) i totally forgot about this thread lol
well i got.....a 22 :( but whatever, i guess ill take it next time around...and maybe the next...and the next..lol hopefully not, but still

My advice to you is check your ammonia and nitrite levels and do a 25.86% water change.

Good luck!

Just keep trying :) One thing that's schools tend to do better than homeschooling is teaching kids how to take standardized tests. I'd also recommend that next time get a practice book (or 2, or 3...) and practice, practice, practice! Keep us updated :)
