Mine would follow me around and I would pick them right up and pet them. Well, one of them, the others ran when I went towards them. The silkies love being held.

i got all my chickens from murraymcmurray hatcheries. they also liked to send freebies with every order. last time i got about 8 roosters that must have been their own private 'experiment'. i still don't know what they were, but they grew quickly and got really big. not very aggressive either.
we put up a little sign at the end of our driveway to sell eggs, and even after the sign was gone people would still drop by to get some fresh 'easter eggs'. each bag (yes, we sold them in bags) would have white eggs, various shades of brown, and a few araucana eggs - green or blue. people loved them.
