The end may be near for my AC experience

If you don't like the way he posts...don't read his threads. I stopped reading them...not because of the way he writes or misspells or whatever...but because of the way people treat him. Why do people have to be so mean? How does the way he or anyone else writes hurt you? Just don't read his thread if it bothers you so darn much. And certainly don't be rude when the subject matter is so serious.

I find it pretty sad that it bothers you enough to comment in the first place. So because you have dyslexia and an injury no one has any excuse to ever type a word wrong especially when they're under a tremendous amount of stress in the first place? I'm pretty confident in my grammar and punctuation but if I wasn't I still wouldn't do anything to correct it (including something as easy as using spell check) because anyone here who has issues with that still gets their point across anyway. What's the point in commenting if we got the gist of it?

I'm sure it doesn't matter because you already pointed out that you couldn't care less if anyone likes you, maybe that's the problem though. Interacting with people and the lasting effect that interaction has is very important to me because I'm a little something called empathetic. I actually think about the effect my words have on others. If I can make someone smile my day is made. I don't I know if you got your view of the world in the army or not (my cousin acts like you and the army messed him up) but "that's life, people say things you don't like" is a pretty horrible way to treat people. It isn't anything but an excuse to act like a jerk so you don't have to have the empathy that is so highly prized in this world

Edit: just because you don't feel humiliated doesn't mean you aren't. You were better off not announcing this was because of you because now everyone knows

You give him a pass because he has stated he has a learning disability, will you give me a pass because of a traumatic head injury in the Army? Maybe I dont know better..

Perhaps. I did preface my post with "I hope she is better" or something.. I wasnt a total ..... Only Partial.

I get that, but come on.. Really?? I have talked to him numerous times.. It isnt due to a "learning disability". I grew up with Dyslexia and suffered a brain injury in the Military. Spell checks are the easy way to get past that.. I feel it is laziness that keeps him posting in the fashion he does. Posting a post of say 30 words and 25 of them are misspelled is just lazy.
How can you set there on your EXTREMELY high horse and say you know it isn't because of a disability. Are you his physician? Perhaps his eye sight prevents him from correctly seeing words. No matter, in ANY other posting I would say something about grammar and spelling as well but to say something to someone when they are posting to say a family is perhaps dying is not only in bad taste but simply inhumane.

I'd give you a pass to misspell words but not to be a jerk to someone at the worst possible time (there's q difference between not being the best when it comes to grammar and doing something you know is wrong with the justification that other people will act like so it is ok. Being the better person is a virtue not many have these days). I really thought I got my point across there. I don't know how many times people have to hint at it in a nice way but the real deal is the way you said that was completely out of line and was borderline out of line even in a regular thread. Even if he didn't have issues there are people everywhere that failed English and won't have the best spelling, grammar, and punctuation but they get their point across just fine. I don't know if it just gives you an opportunity to lash out on someone and make yourself feel better about something but if that is the case we are all here for ya and I don't mean that in q sarcastic way at all. Sometimes people lash out because they're having a hard time dealing with negative feelings

This forum is transitioning into a soap opera. I think everyone needs to step back and take a deep breath here.
