thermometer questions

well I got the heaters in and I really like the digital thermometers, the magnetic one is just too small to get an accurate reading in the 70's. Thanks for all your input guys, My 29 is being lowered to 75, and my 36 is already at 75. They will be room temperature in the summer which is about 78, and be about 75 in the winter with the help of the heaters.
I've found the stick on thermometers to be as accurate as the glass kinds except the very small 1 I had didn't last more than 2 or 3 years. The floating kind get blown all around my tank so I either play hide'n'seek in the floating plants or don't check very often. I'm sometimes suction cup & bifocal challenged too.
I agree with dunda too, if the heater has numbers it's just a starting point but most of my working(!?) Stealths are pretty darn close.
I use my TDS3 meter for water change temp & tank spot checks. I'd like it even more if I didn't have to stop & think in C* instead of my usual F* but +/- a couple degrees is not that big a deal. I used to just finger test but I have tanks at different temps, discus tank feels hot compared to my unheated shrimp.
