They spawned

Do you have any lid or do you keep it lidless?
Styrofoam box lid. I keep it on and check on them several times a day to monitor the temperature and feed them.

I know a lid is a must with their lung organ. And also to keep the heat in the incubator because its a makeshift heater! I dont expect my new heater to arrive until next month... i ordered it before all of this, ordered one from Ireland because the price was good for the heater i chose lol but given shipment delays because COVID and all... itll be some time.

"I have no fry right now, its not a priority, so i can wait for longer shipping..."

A week later 200 gourami fry.

Day 6! Going good, fresh after a water change (that's not fun to do, so tedious and nerve wracking lol)

Look at the wee little fins and tiny mouth!

Method for water changes:

Very gently scoop out the water with a measuring spoon/cup into a second container (so i can easily see if i accidentally scooped out any fry, none so far luckily). Then very gently add new water back the same way from a fresh container of dechlorinated water.

TY, I need a daily fry update!

Can you try an airline tubing siphon at the bottom? I think the fry are at the top. I can't imagine using a spoon or even a cup, LOL!

I could, but with them being so small, i just dont feel comfortable using a siphon of any size. Theyre all over, not just the top.

I mean, i still occasionally suck up cories during regular water changes (theyre too nosy about the hose and get way too close). Guaranteed id suck up fry haha.

Ill stick with very slowly emptying out water using a 1/2 cup measuring cup until theyre at least guppy fry sized. These things are literally only 2 mm each.

Another thing you can do is use a turkey baster to suck any detritus and uneaten food. That's how to manage to vacuum the bottom with fry.
This i could probably do easily. I used a pediatrics syringe to suck out fungused eggs... could do the same for debris
