Man that is snap fantastic, I love how you guys do the hairpin turns. That almost looks very similar to the sunshine coast of bc where I stayed with my day when I was younger for a summer. Thanks so much for sharing this.

I love photography and take tons of pictures of my children which I will put into scrapbooks some day.

I am a strong advocate of attachment parenting. I'm not much for labels but this term basically means keeping your baby close and responding to them as they express their needs. Things like breastfeeding, sleep sharing, baby wearing in sling or other carrier that keeps them close and a part of conversations.

I work to educate people on the issues of genital integrity for all children, specifically, education about male infant circumcision. I am a strong advocate for the bodily integrity and the right of a person to consent to his own body modification and not have someone else do so for him as a non consenting baby.

Hobby wise, I knit. I used to do beadwork with tiny little seed beads but that is so NOT small child friendly.

Great I love kids, they are the best toys they don't even need batteries. Would love to see some of your pics. I love how they just want to be part of what mommy or daddy is doing, I just love how they have creativity and passion for life.

i make movies, play a variety of musical instrument (trumpet, bass guitar, harmonica, a little bit of accordion as well as piano) recently i started on the french horn which i find similar to trumpet. i love loud music and am pimping out my car. and i have the most amazing dog in the world, ill have to post pics, i think hes onProxy-Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0 0speed or something because hes a little TOO energetic.

Now where is that picture of that dog. I have never really played an instrument and find it very fantastic that people can.

What kind of car you pimping!

I have a few uncommon hobbies and interests, but everybody knows about them, lol

I collect heirloom and rare narcissi (daffodils), and this spring I'll be starting a flowerbed especially for heirloom roses. Basically- if a flower has an old history and can be grown in my zone 5b, I'm all over it. =)

Cemetaries- sounds really morbid, but I love beautiful cemetary statuary, 'specially from the turn of the century. My husband and I take drives out in the country specifically to find really old graveyards so we can explore 'em. Hubby's a big Civil War amateur historian, so he loves finding the old veterans' graves.

Local legends and folklore. The creepy ghostie stories and sites like the popular "Crybaby Bridges" that pop up everywhere. I'm more interested in the stories behind them then the actual existence of ghosts, lol

A few years ago, I was in a group called "Frogwatch", where you go to specific area and collect data on the frog population to send in. That was a blast!

Urban exploration. This is a risky interest, since sometimes it does involve, well... trespassing in often condemned buildings. Don't do that too much anymore. =)

Oh you simply must post some pictures of your flowers and yard when you get it done in spring.

I am going to have to go to the regina cemetary and get a pic of a stone that your hubby would find fantastic.

Yeh old cars are the best, here is my toy that will roll out in the spring time. I was able to cut a deal with the dude and he is taking payments and I pick it up in the spring. Just could not float the outright purchase so when I visited him I offered him a deal and he took it even though other people had cash in hand :woot:. This is his baby that he basically built out of 4 cars, also a pic of a car he bought for 25 bucks from a junkyard, it was in boxes when he picked it up.

I debated for some time about whether or not I should post up this thread and basically let er rip so to say. It will be very very very interesting to see what kinds of things get posted here and what kinds of responses.

My wife and I have been married for over 13 years, and you should have seen the uproar :jaw-dropping: when a pastor's daughter was suddenly engaged to be married to a leather wearing hardcore. It was the most shocking thing I have ever seen and was quite the experience as people's perceptions of me were expressed to her by many well meaning people. In the end result of it all here we are over 13 years and 7 ( 8 in a week) kids later still going strong.

It is super funny to watch as perceived perceptions fall to shambles here in the real world when I am dealing with things.

For a period of 6 years I was training for a direction in life that I totally changed from. It had to do with how our canadian govt was handing more and more of military over to the united nations. Something I could not really subscribe to, so I turned from that direction and have had a very interesting journey. Yet, ask anyone who has been in this world, and you will find that it irreversably changes a person.

Here I sit 42 years old, having had a very interesting life with much much more to go.

I LOVE LIFE AND THE LIVING OF IT.

I LOVE HOW HUMAN BEINGS HAVE THIS ABILITY TO BE FREE, TO RISE ABOVE, TO OVERCOME AND STAND VICTORIOUS ON THE BATTLEFIELD OF LIFE!!!

I thought, what the heck I have been on this forum for a bit I may as well drop the hammer and burn a trail. I have been seeing more than a few people who are taking a serious kicking from life and it is my hope that by posting this thread and simply sharing much of who and what I am that people might get inspired, might get a bit of relief from the dirtpile that life is trying to put on them.

I have always been an activist at heart, and have tried my best to raise up the downcast, just something that my grandfather a very wise man instilled in me. I will share one thing about why I am what I am in another post for the sake of context I will make a post solely about it.

Some of what I share will be things that totally catch yall off gaurd and might just make some think :screwy: but that is  because this is the GENERAL CHIT CHAT thread mauhahhahahahhahha.:duh:

For the dudes out there that are reading this, I offer a word of advice.

I have a passion for learning about skincare and products, I am in esthetician school but taking a break until I get my panic attacks sorted out. I got this interest when I was about 14 or 15, when I got acne and the harsh acne products irritated my skin because I have sensitive skin... so I got into reading about skin conditions and how to treat them. I'm an artist, mainly with canvas but also with jewelry, interior decorating, etc. I've always had a passion for animals and grew up with dogs, cats, hedgehogs, tortoises, geckos, birds, hermit crabs, etc.

Aand, that's about it. I guess. Can't think of anything else.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to share about themselves and thier love of various things.

Please feel free to share pictures if you wish. Right now one of the things I love is here with me as I do water changes, so I have let him have my main computer to play with and I am on my laptop which for some reason will not work right tonight so I will have to wait till later to post some pics. Though I will definitely post up some pics.

i have a weird fascination with pink and different kitchen gadgets and if the two are combined, i HAVE to have it. i have a pink kitchenaid mixer (it's my pride and joy and sits deadcenter on the kitchen counter)
