This is different

wow I am left feeling like I should be looking for the place to sign my life away after scanning through all that:rolleyes:

what a load of bull, well some truth there but mixed with more junk than I have seen in one place

I am glad I have aquariacentral to go to for answers instead

Algal scrubbers have been around for decades. He makes what I think is an artificial distinction between biological fitration by bacteria and that done by plants.

It probably works, but so do water changes and live rock. Basically, the product is trying to fix a problem that isn't there.

Anyone count the number of marketing tools used in there? A) Make the consumer feel good about looking at your product B) Show how ignorant everyone else is by focusing on a few key, unsubstantiated points. C) Haul Mother Nature in on your side. D)Make it sound like your product is revolutionary, even if you're selling bags of dirt. E) Identify the other means your product is better than, even if you don't say how it's better.

Slick package, but really nothing new other than packaging, IMO.

My head hurts :P

What i found funny was the talk of wasting money.. when it will cost 1000+ for a basic setup.. w/o lights

Well, I tried reading thru most of that stuff, but decided an infomercial would probably keep my attention better. Was it me or did they essentially say that bacteria isn't natural in water systems?

um don't all filters use bacteria? and isn't the lighting the same ol lighting everyone uses? Toppers I think I have seen those in the diy lol

I use it to oil snakes--otherwise, the dang things squeek too much at night, keep me up all night. Worse than crickets, I tell ya'.
