This week's game of Stock That Tank!

What are the dimensions? My tank's 24" long and it's a 15g...

24" long, 9" wide and 10" high. I've worked out it's roughly 7 gallons. It's a tank I custom built specifically for my desk. I actually made two, one for my 10yo's bookshelf in his room for his betta and one for my desk. the idea was to have a tank that didn't take up too big of a footprint, but had a couple feet of swimming length for whatever ends up in it .

Sparkling gouramis

I had considered that. It was oginally going to be a betta tank, then I considered a cobalt gourami since I really like the look of them, but didn't think 7 gallons was enough for it. Also wasn't sure about keeping a single one as opposed to a group and I knew I woudl really be pushing it with a group of them in a 7 gallon. I'll probably end up with cherry shrimp in the tank as they are kind of cool to watch, although if I do end up with a betta it's usually only a matter of time before the shrimp end up as lunch. I have a few tanks at home that have some really nice cardinals, and some endlers I got a great deal on at one point, and some white clouds. I started wondering if a small school of small fish would be better than a single larger fish. I've kept endlers with a betta before and most of them did ok. Either way I thought I would come out and see what you guys thought. You never know when someone will come up with something that never occurred to you before....

If you want sparkling gouramis, you might want to make your tank heavily planted as these are very timid fish. A tank like that can allow you to keep 4-6 of these fish. They are beautiful but aren't exactly long-lived lasting for at least a year or less. Buy the smallest specimens possible as they can live longer than the larger ones.

Thought I would *** a pic of the Cardinals I was talking about. They're not the greatest pics, but I chose ones that have the betta in the pic as well to give you an idea of the size of them..

What are the dimensions of that tank? It looks like a 15g to me, it's at least a 10. As for stockage, if it turns out to be a 15g, I'd put some your furcatas in there with either 4 scarlet badis or 4 sparkling gouramis.

Or you could fill it with sparklers and scarlet badis. Either way ;)

Dwarf puffers

Hmm?
