Time to Heal? (Snail with Hole)

Ok, I think the roots of the problem here is.

1. Lack of circulation
2. Lack of filtration
3. Lack of O2
4. Lack of clean fresh water
5. Lack of a proper diet

Fix those 5 things and then we can go from there.

He had all of that in the 6 gallon tank...besides proper diet. I still saw the same behavior of him trying to climb out of the tank.

If I can't find the air stone for the 1.5gal I think I'm going to put him back in the 6 just because I don't know how to aerate the 1.5 without needing to go the LFS, which I can't do until some time next week. The betta didn't seem to care that the snail even existed, so I see no reason why he can't go back in there.

As for feeding...how to I force a snail to eat? It's not like I'm not giving him access to food; he's just not eating it.

don't force him to eat. I would just maintain EXCELLENT water quality and offer healthy foods
if they don't get eaten in several hours, or over night, remove them and try again. Its likely he isn't eating well because he isn't feeling well. Once he is on the mend, he is likely to eat. You might try something like the snail jello recipe but use a fruit food that may tempt him to eat because of the natural sugars. I would offer it sparingly, adn again remove it if its not getting eaten.

is the calcium powder referred to in those recipes in the sticky the same stuff that you can buy as a calcium supplement at like CVS?

As long as it is phosphorus free and pure calcium it should be ok.
