A couple of weeks ago a co worker mentioned that she wanted to get rid of her 55 gallon tank. I have wanted one forever. She said I could have it if I took the fish with it. I asked what kind. She told me an angel, some little minnow type things,a gold fish and a few little sucker fish. I figured she meant a gold colored barb or something and maybe ottos or corys.
Well, I get there and look at the tanks. It had 5 or 6 giant danios, a huge shark of some sort, a huge angel fish, a huge gold fish, and 3 gigantic plecos. I was tempted to say nevermind, but I felt bad for them. She said she only feeds them goldfish food (poor plecos) and that her fish die all the time because they have short life spans.
So now I am stuck with all of these fish. i don't know what to do with them. I want to get them into suitable tanks. I was thinking of trying to find somebody with a pond to take the gold fish, but now it is uded to living in warm water. Do you think it would adjust?
