I have two anubia plants that are attached to a piece of driftwood. I ran into a situation about a month and a half ago where I developed a large amount of staghorn algae. Unfortunately it completely dominated my two anubia plants. I've since gotten control of the algae but it really destroyed a lot the leaves on the anubias. I snipped off the affected leaves hoping to get some new ones to grow back in their place. I've got excellent growth on the ends of the rhizome, but I don't see any new sprouts along the mid section of the rhizome where the old leaves were snipped off. Will new leaves not grow there? Also, what's the best way to trim down stem plants? I have a lloydelia that I bought just under two weeks ago and it's already grown 4-5 inches. I'm affraid it will be out of the tank in another 3-4 weeks.
