I dont have any fish yet im looking into getting,not sure what kind of fish that is but I want it lol any clues would be muchly appreciated.

iam not at my house in ohio (i have two fish encyclopedias their) but at familys house in Massachusets right now. that does look central american. it looks similiar to the port cichlids ive kept. i buy fish from several fish stores and various fish are available at different times of the year. i would find a good fish store and ask them if any of their suppliers have that fish. good luck. that fish does look alot like a green severum (which i believe is a south american fish) go into species on the main page and take a look at it.
look at the main page under freshwater click species and under links it is the first link(fresh water data base) in that link click cichlids and half way down the list is sevrum. i counted the vertical stripes and everything it looks like a sevrum. i have kept them and know others who have. they are voracious eaters and get about 6-8 inches. they are also a very commom not so hard to find fish. good luck
