So, I've been sick recently, and especially in the mornings it can be difficult for me to even leave my bed. I have some Tanks in my basement, and some in my bedroom. The ones in my bed room have been fed and had the lights turned on daily. I just haven't been feeling well enough to turn on the lights in the basement everyday. I usually go down there later in the day turn them on for a little while and feed them later in the day. Although I have missed a day or two, but that isn't the problem.
My family felt bad for the fish and thought that I wasn't feeding them because sometimes the lights weren't on. Like I said, I did miss a day or two, but nothing was hurt from it. My parents decided to feed my fish. Everyone was fine, except the bettas! They stomachs are HUGE! They weren't like this yesterday! There was food floating everywhere in the tank! I asked and they said they sprinkled a little bit in there. I use betta pellets, and I only feed 3 day per betta. They were at least 20 floating around, and who knows how many were eaten.
The parents have been talked to, and the food has been hidden. The uneaten food has also been removed, and a water change will have to follow tomorrow because I still don't feel well. I'm planning on fasting these guys for a few days, then feed them cooked peas. Anything else I should do? They look so miserable. They don't swim at all. They just kinda stare at me like I did something wrong...
(PS, I know they tails are shorter than normal. They had a little bit a fin rot a while ago and its healing back)
