Because there is a sucker born every minute. People want to believe in something; animal rights, cleaner air, organized religion... take your pick.

And before someone takes a swipe at me over the "organized religion" remark, just remember; I believe, just not what you believe. And if you do believe what I believe, you've got some explaining to do.
