It's just amazing that the prolapse has retracted; wonderful news. That was the worst prolapse I've ever seen, and I have seen several.
In my post earlier, I think in one of the links I provided that had suggestions by Kyryah, there's information about using Epsom Salts to help with keeping the intestines moving, which would be good. You want to avoid having any feces in the gut becoming hard and difficult to move. That's why Pinkertd mentioned the nuked english pea, and that is a good idea, but I think Kyryah had experience using the Epsom salts in a case of prolapse.
The link to the Grannylvsfish thread describes her Molly getting better and all she did was keep pristine water conditions and she used a teaspoon of salt per gallon in treating her Molly.
Above all else, I think pristine water is of utmost importance and, too, keeping your fish from being constipated is very important so you might want to feed little bits of nuked, shelled, english pea; soft and mushie, or if you think that a problem with constipation is possible I would consider the Epsom salts as well.
Good job taking care of your little patient. I'm delighted you didn't take my advice and euthanize. I hate to have to do that, myself, and only do it when a fish appears to be suffering and there seems to be little hope of recovery. I'm amazed that that much prolapsed intestinal tissue went back inside that fish. Awesome.
Please keep us posted, pics if possible, too.
