I am usually the cheap one but actually all of my tanks have been bought new. I have been looking at craigslist lately to try to find a large tank for cheap but havent come across any good deals. My problem is I like to build my own stands, hoods, lighting, etc. and it seems like the good deals are with people that want to get rid of the entire setup. I have no problem buying anything used, but please make sure your getting a good deal on it. I bought my 75G new from the lfs for $95, 40G new for $45, 20G new w/hood for $30. Its not really worth it to me to go through the trouble and chances of buying used just for 10 or 20 bucks. But if you find a good deal go for it.
