aardvark i would do that but my light is on the same unit as my pump.

Go out to the hardware store and buy a timer,they are very inexpensive.


P.S. Ditch the feeding tablet,your fish will be fine.

I Can't put a timer on the lights because the wire that goes from the lights connects to a unit, this unit is also connected to the pump. so if i put a timer on the hours of which the lights are off the pump will also be off.

I beleive what Flagfish is telling us is that there is one cord for both the light and the filter and if it were plugged into a timer, it would not only turn the light on and off, but the filter as well.

The tank only has one power cord for the lights and filter. Like an eclipse system everything is all built in.
