Very new guy with new tank!

I'm reading it so I understand were you are comin from when I talk to you and thanks for all the help. I have a feeling I will be taiking to you alot more threw this whole thing.

It's absolutely beautiful. :) I wish I had friends/significant other that were into saltwater tanks.

I hear ya there, my kids like mine but my wife other than it being a cool center piece of the living room could really care less. Then again anything that is my hobby is automatically hated by her. =) My friends also have very little to no interest other than when they come over you get the. Thats cool.

I CHANGED IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This has been crazy. I think I have thrown out about $50 in plexy glass so far. This it I'm done changing it. This is what it looks like now guys I hope you like it, I do.

That looks good...your filter set up makes me want to delete all the pictures of my filter on my thread. Nice job!
I am trying to gather up all the bits and pieces to build a sump from a 30g (largest tank I can twist into the bottom of my stand). Like you, mine will replace my wet/dry....although my wet dry has been running for six months with no problems at all. But I want to kick it to the curb before any nitrate issues pop up. If I had had the foresight to see that I would want to build a sump, I could've put a 55g or 75g sump under my tank before I moved the heavy SOB into place. But, hindsight is 20/20, I suppose....

We are getting our Mag Drive 9 SUMP pump tomorrow and will be doing a fresh water test of the setup tomorrow night. I was wondering if I should put anything in the water to help clean everything out. I bought the tank from our LFS owner slightly used. I was only setup for a few weeks while he was remodeling his store. I would like to make sure that there is nothing in the tanks and plumbing. Do you have any ideas on this subject.

I was think of doing that but wasn't sure. How much do you think I should put in the water. I figure there will be about 102gal in the whole setup.

I think its really looking great. I agree with the vinegar thing. Just run a rince cycle or two through it and allow to air dry and you should be fine.
